What an amazing weekend post 3

The third event in 24-hours! This was a big one of the weekend, Billy and Michelle's wedding at the Marriott Beachside Resort in Key West. 350+ attendees, included a who's who of Key West elite, including sports celebrities, cheerleaders past and present, and the owner of the Marriott Beachside Resort!

The doors were scheduled to open at 9:15 PM to allow the guests to find their seats. The doors opened as scheduled, the guests entered to an upbeat version of "Satin Doll" from the Bobby Morganstein collection (thank you Bobby), this is probably the best version of this song. Then at 9:30 PM we played a montage of video on the Marriott's huge 15 foot screen, it included pictures of both Billy and Michelle growing up, and their relationship once they met. It even included a personal message from gator quarterback Tim Tebow! Then it was time for the introductions.

Wedding party over 20 came into Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" and then the stars of the show Michelle and Billy, they came into the University of Florida Gator fight song! Then we went right into the first dance.

First Dance: Me and You by Kenny Chesney

Bride/Father Dance: I Love Her First by Heartland
Groom/Mother Dance: Beautiful Boy by John Lennon
Last Song: Go Gators!

This party was set up for dinner with stations around the room and two bars one inside and one in the lobby. There was a photo booth for guests to take pictures for memory book.

I had the pleasure of working with:

Jan 9th - Alexander Hotel Miami Beach

Wedding at the Alexander Hotel on Miami Beach

Wedding reception for Patty and Paul. The night started with cocktail hour in the upstairs Alexander Hotel lobby and sitting area. The music of choice for cocktail hour by our newlyweds was chill/lounge house music.

The guest of then moved to the banquet room for dinner and dancing. This day we had the privilege of working with Shawnti from the Alexander Hotel, and one of South Florida's best photographers Andy Itkoff.

All the dancing was left for after dinner. The dinner presentation was flawless with a choice of fillet, chicken, or salmon. The Alexander staff and hotel did not fail to impress.

Music selections:

Music for intro: I got a feeling by the Black Eyed Peas

Music for bride and groom intro: Lenny Kravitz - I belong to you

Music for First Dance: Always by Atlantic Starr

Music for bride/father: I loved her first

Other notable selections:
Cake Cutting-Say Hey by Michael Franti
Garter Removal: Sexy Chick by David Guetta

We also played a polka medley at Patty's request Patty's parents and a bunch of the guest absolutely loved it!

Though was chilly and rainy outside that did not stop the fun, and fire created on the dance floor. Everyone had an amazing time and be entertainment was proud to be a part of another beautiful celebration.

We wish both Patty and Paul very happy and long life together... The two of you deserve it!

The dance floors relocated to the area right next to the dinner tent. It was decided so the people dancing would have some kind of protection from the wind blowing off the Gulf of Mexico. MB entertainment provided music for the ceremony as well as cocktail. Hot hors d’oeuvres were passed during cocktail hour by the staff from Caribbean catering. Hors d’oeuvres included shrimp, bacon wrapped scallop and chicken. During dinner to chefs created pasta dishes for the guests at their request with a variety of meat fish and veggies. Then we kicked off the reception right after dinner. Despite the cold weather all the guests danced until 10 PM (our scheduled ending time).Mr. and Mrs. Gilroy and their guests had an absolutely amazing time with little or no regard to the cold that mother nature had provided that day. Most of the guests were from Bakersfield California and enjoy themselves thoroughly.

December 29, 2009 Farah and Brad's wedding

This was a destination wedding, the guests were all from Wisconsin.

Farah and Brad's wedding was at the beautiful Coconut Cove Resort and Marina. What a beautiful setting for a wedding, could possibly be the most beautiful place on earth to get married. Paula and Magda always seem to put on a flawless event. The wedding ceremony started at 4 PM. Prelude music was played by Bob Lyons, steel drummer. Bob also played in the ceremony and cocktail hour. Our part of the evening started at 6 PM, we played an additional 30 minutes of cocktail hour music. Selections included Jimmy buffet and Alan Jackson.

I introduced the entire wedding party, including parents of the bride and groom. Farrah's mom came in very animated as did the rest of the wedding party to a special remix of I got a feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. After the introductions Farrah and Brad went through the buffet line. Dinner consisted of Caribbean style chicken, steamed veggies, a carving station, assorted bread rolls and pasta and side salads.

The couple danced their first dance after dinner to Shania Twain and Bryan White's "From This Moment." There were no parent dances, as they will do them at their reception in Wisconsin. Party and dance selections included a large variety of country music and today's top 40 selections. The dance floors packed throughout the night and they even extended for an extra hour of overtime. What a great couple and guests! I don't have a safe trip back to Wisconsin.

My Birthday Weekend (Yes my birthday is the 5th!)

Morning of October 3, 2008

We drove to Miami to see a venue, The Ronald W. Shane Center. We will be performing at a wedding on November 1, 2008 and a possible Bar Mitzvah, May 2009. The venue is beautiful and allows for lots of flexibility in decor and ambiance. There is an outdoor terrace for a cocktail hour or ceremony, there is also a wrap around veranda and one side faces the intercoastal. Thank you Rosie for taking the time to show us your venue, we really look forward to working there many times in the future.

A surprise 60th Birthday for Michelle at Sunset Harbor Yacht Club (http://www.sunsetharboryc.com/) in Daytona Beach put on by Barbara Doliner[blacktie108@yahoo.com] of Black Tie Entertainment. Sunset Harbor Yacht Club never ceases to amaze us with their courteous staff and awesome ballroom. This surprise party had close to 200 people in attendance and the surprise was kept by everyone! There were several food stations throughout the room; a carving station featuring turkey and ham, a greens station, a dipping station, a pasta station, dessert station, and a mashed potato martini station. Barbara Doliner, from Black Tie Entertainment puts on one heck of a shindig. Entertainment provided by yours truly, MB Entertainment. The evening was a success and fun was had by all. Special thank you to Sunset Harbor Yacht Club and staff. We stayed the night at the Courtyard Marriott, where the accommodations were great, the staff was friendly and thank you for a goodnight sleep!

Saturday October 4th...off to Coconut Cove in Islamorada.

This is an awesome destination for a
wedding! Paul and Magda Bates put on a heck of a show. The wedding was for Tina and Brent. The decor was very tropical & the ceremony was on the sand. The menu was a buffet of Lobstertail, Prime Rib, Mahi Mahi, and Jerk Chicken. Yummmy!!! After dinner and Toast it was back to the beach for the first dance. Surrounded by tiki torches and all their guests the happy couple danced to Keith Urban's "Making memories of us," while a fireworks show(Put on by Paul Bayes at Coconut Cove) lit up the night sky! It did not take long before the dancefloor got cranked up once again! The party despite being a 6 hour booking, went an additional 2 hours overtime! Wow, what a great party!

Thank you to Paul and Magda from Coconut Cove...You set the standard when it comes to awesome weddings in Islamorada!
