December 29, 2009 Farah and Brad's wedding

This was a destination wedding, the guests were all from Wisconsin.

Farah and Brad's wedding was at the beautiful Coconut Cove Resort and Marina. What a beautiful setting for a wedding, could possibly be the most beautiful place on earth to get married. Paula and Magda always seem to put on a flawless event. The wedding ceremony started at 4 PM. Prelude music was played by Bob Lyons, steel drummer. Bob also played in the ceremony and cocktail hour. Our part of the evening started at 6 PM, we played an additional 30 minutes of cocktail hour music. Selections included Jimmy buffet and Alan Jackson.

I introduced the entire wedding party, including parents of the bride and groom. Farrah's mom came in very animated as did the rest of the wedding party to a special remix of I got a feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. After the introductions Farrah and Brad went through the buffet line. Dinner consisted of Caribbean style chicken, steamed veggies, a carving station, assorted bread rolls and pasta and side salads.

The couple danced their first dance after dinner to Shania Twain and Bryan White's "From This Moment." There were no parent dances, as they will do them at their reception in Wisconsin. Party and dance selections included a large variety of country music and today's top 40 selections. The dance floors packed throughout the night and they even extended for an extra hour of overtime. What a great couple and guests! I don't have a safe trip back to Wisconsin.

My Birthday Weekend (Yes my birthday is the 5th!)

Morning of October 3, 2008

We drove to Miami to see a venue, The Ronald W. Shane Center. We will be performing at a wedding on November 1, 2008 and a possible Bar Mitzvah, May 2009. The venue is beautiful and allows for lots of flexibility in decor and ambiance. There is an outdoor terrace for a cocktail hour or ceremony, there is also a wrap around veranda and one side faces the intercoastal. Thank you Rosie for taking the time to show us your venue, we really look forward to working there many times in the future.

A surprise 60th Birthday for Michelle at Sunset Harbor Yacht Club (http://www.sunsetharboryc.com/) in Daytona Beach put on by Barbara Doliner[blacktie108@yahoo.com] of Black Tie Entertainment. Sunset Harbor Yacht Club never ceases to amaze us with their courteous staff and awesome ballroom. This surprise party had close to 200 people in attendance and the surprise was kept by everyone! There were several food stations throughout the room; a carving station featuring turkey and ham, a greens station, a dipping station, a pasta station, dessert station, and a mashed potato martini station. Barbara Doliner, from Black Tie Entertainment puts on one heck of a shindig. Entertainment provided by yours truly, MB Entertainment. The evening was a success and fun was had by all. Special thank you to Sunset Harbor Yacht Club and staff. We stayed the night at the Courtyard Marriott, where the accommodations were great, the staff was friendly and thank you for a goodnight sleep!

Saturday October 4th...off to Coconut Cove in Islamorada.

This is an awesome destination for a
wedding! Paul and Magda Bates put on a heck of a show. The wedding was for Tina and Brent. The decor was very tropical & the ceremony was on the sand. The menu was a buffet of Lobstertail, Prime Rib, Mahi Mahi, and Jerk Chicken. Yummmy!!! After dinner and Toast it was back to the beach for the first dance. Surrounded by tiki torches and all their guests the happy couple danced to Keith Urban's "Making memories of us," while a fireworks show(Put on by Paul Bayes at Coconut Cove) lit up the night sky! It did not take long before the dancefloor got cranked up once again! The party despite being a 6 hour booking, went an additional 2 hours overtime! Wow, what a great party!

Thank you to Paul and Magda from Coconut Cove...You set the standard when it comes to awesome weddings in Islamorada!
